In the fall of 2005, Trafó and the MU Theatre put together an award for the popularization and recognition of the best creators and creations in dance today. For the jury of the Rudolf Lábán Award, named after the most outstanding and revitalizing figure of twentieth century dance, a panel was selected from those who have most distinctively analyzed, interpreted, and promoted figures of the contemporary dance scene. Thanks to these two Budapest theatres, the two creators of the of the finest choreographies of the season will receive support towards their next production in either the amount of HUF500,000(EU2000) or in the amount of 1,5 million (EU6000).
